I'M PROUD TO SAY THAT I'M A JOURNALISM STUDENT

They say that there is nothing constant in this world but change. I say, in my world there are only two constants: deadline and pressure.

As a Journalism student, my life is governed by deadlines. Time is economized and 24 hours is not enough to do everything. Hectic schedules, interviews, travels, sleepless nights, pictorials, tapings, shootings...we are living a life of a celebrity and none of us liked it.

A long time ago I have realized that Journalism is a course where sweat and tears are not enough to make you pass. This is a course for people who can actually take the challenge and survive. This is a course for people who are prepared to bleed and labor in order to pass.

Bleeding is good though. It prepares us to the kind of challenges that we are going to face when we graduate. If pressure creates a diamond then the kind of pressure we are facing now will make us the most beautiful diamonds the world could ever find.

I just hope so.

  1. hahaha, this field requires wisdom in order to survive!

Accountancy and engineering students are always sayin, why we need to study journalism, we are all able to write something isn't it?

but the question is, do you have what it takes to write effectively?

yes, we should be proud to be a journ student, coz we have the guts to be expose in different circumstances, the great power of influence is in our hands, and lastly we have the credibility, whatever is in print that came from us is 100% true in the eyes of the people.
