If Public Service is the reason why politicians run for office, then there will be no need for them to hurl mud at each other. There will be no need to besmirch the name of another candidate, no need to kill the opposing party and no need to bribe people.
If Public service is the real cause of these people who calls themselves leaders, they will be helping each other, supporting the other's plans for a better Philippines, and cooperating with each other instead of debating on who is the bigger monkey among them.
If it is the people they all want to serve, then why do they treat us like lower life forms compared to them when they are already in power? Have they forgotten that it was us who placed them there? Have they forgotten that they are our SERVANTS and not our MASTERS?
They never really run to serve us. They never really run to help us. They don't run to serve this country. And they certainly don't run for our sakes. They run because they want power, priviledge, influence and of course, money. Their political ads may say another thing but everyone of them are all the same. They are only servants of the people and leaders of this country during campaign periods but when its done, they become masters and tyrants.
So on the next election, don't look for the next leader none of them will ever be. I guess we don't have a choice but to choose the lesser evil among these devils.
It is not money that causes great evil, it is man's greed for power. It's power that causes us to suffer.
