MATUTO KA NA JUAN DELA CRUZ!

2010 is fast approaching. Election time again.

Once again the Filipino people will choose new leaders for the next six years. Once again the Filipino people will put in power the people the deem right for the position. Once again the Filipino people will try to prove that they have learned from the past.

Or so most of us hope.
The outcome of the 2010 election is significant to our country. As is the outcome of every elections. For the next six years we will be lead by the people whose names we wrote in our ballots. And I hope this time, we all learn from the past.

Don't vote for the person just because he came from a political family. Just because his great-grandparents were leaders doesn't mean he knows how to lead.

Don't vote for a person just because he is popular. Governance is not all about popularity. Let the past teach us that most famous people are only as good as decorations after the elections.

Don't vote just because the person is rich enough to buy your vote. Remember that it is not only your future but the future of the Filipino nation that is at stake in every elections. A man who will pay his way to power is not suited to govern us.

Don't vote for a person just because you like the way he looks. Capability is more important.

We should learn to take elections seriously. Choosing our leader is a serious matter. Always remember, the aim of the election is to come up with a leader that will lead our country and help it progress and not to put another parasite in position.

2010 na, matuto ka na Juan de la Cruz!
