Don't you ever wish that you could see the future? Sometimes I do, so I would know if i am making the right decision or not.
I think of life as one very long highway, extending miles and miles and full of curves and zigzagging roads. You don't know what lies ahead but you don't have a choice but continue driving until you reach your goal.
There are times when the twists becomes so bad that you end up smashing in some unforeseen corners but still, you continue driving until you reach the end.
Life has so many blind curves and dark tunnels. There are times when we get scared and refuses to move on but like travelers with no choice, we pick up our luggage and continue on our way. Like real life roads, life sometimes offers scenic views which makes us appreciate its beauty though sometimes we also have to contend ourselves with repetitive glimpses of seemingly endless fields which seem to clone themselves along the way.
Every bend offers new adventures. Every curve offers new lessons. Every crossroad, a new experience. Every single path leads to things unknown.
There are times when we get lost and find ourselves in places we don't know with people we can't get along with. We try so hard to find our way back, sometimes we try to do it alone without realizing that the task would be easier if we have help along the way.
In every stopover we meet new people and find new friends. But like a long bus ride, some of those we have been for years will also have to get off the bus and go on with their journeys without us. Along these journeys, we sometimes find people who will stay with us not only while the road is still smooth and paved but even when it starts to get rough and bumpy. There are some who will stay with us until we reach the end of our journey.
and then of course, there is the fork road where we are forced to choose which path we prefer to take. Sometimes its not even a matter of preference but a necessity. In these forks we often get separated with the people we love and the people who could have guide us on our way. There are times when we make a mistake and choose the wrong road and turn back in the middle of the journey. Tiring it may seem but I would prefer to turn back while I still can than continue in a journey when I very well know that the path I'm taking will take me elsewhere. It is better to commit a mistake and try to correct it than commit a mistake and pretend that everything is fine.
Life is a very long road. Longer than the Great Wall of China and scarier than the world's scariest haunted house. It is one road that offers success and failure, wealth and poverty, pain and joy.
